Watch: B.J. Penn Announces Retirement at TUF 19 Post-Fight Press Conference

Watch the former UFC lightweight and welterweight champion B.J. Penn officially announce his retirement following a third round TKO at the hands of Frankie Edgar at the TUF 19 Finale.

Penn was returning after almost two years on the sideline to try and avenge two previous losses to Edgar, this time, in the featherweight division.

Instead, he was crushed by Edgar who took complete control of the fight from the beginning and outworked Penn. The loss brought Penn’s record to 1-5-1 in his past seven fights, dating back to 2010.

Penn has fought professionally since 2001 and has become one of the most iconic fighters in the lighter weight divisions, as well as being recognized as one of two men to capture UFC gold in two different weight classes.
