- UFC women’s bantamweight fighter Alexis Davis talked to reporters after UFC 170 fight about potentially fighting Ronda Rousey and getting a shot at the women’s bantmaweight title. As noted in the Fox Sports 1 prelims, Davis defeated Jessica Eye by split decision. The win puts Davis at 3-0 in the UFC, and she’s currently ranked at No. 3 in the division. Davis said the following after the fight the ended:
“(I’ve been) fighting for so long, and who else is 3-0 in the UFC other than [Rousey]? It was a great win for her, and she’s got a lot of things going on. But I want that shot. I’m the quiet girl that sits there, but I’m looking for it. I’m reaching out for it, and I’m going to take it if I get it.”
- Well for all of you China fans I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news for you. One of the tournament finals has been delayed for TUF China. A UFC official has confirmed that the featherwight final between Yang Jianping and Ning Guangyou has been postponed due to an injury to one of the two fights. The fight will likely to be rebooked for a future card in Asia.
In its place, the UFC has promoted Nam Phan vs. Vaughan Lee to the main card.
The show takes place at 6:15 AM ET on the UFC Fight Pass. It should be noted that this is the first fight where you have to “pay” for UFC Fight Pass.
