Ronda Rousey Comments On Leaving Fighting For Hollywood

-There has been some speculation about Ronda Rousey future in fighting. Due to her getting in two films and some other projects in Hollywood. To be exact, Rousey has roles set in The Expendables 3 and Fast & Furious 7, as well as recently-earned spots in Entourage and Athena Project.

When asked, Rousey said, “Well, I’m a fighter. I enjoy fighting, and I was doing judo for a decade and a half for pretty much no money, and if money was what was really important for me, I might be a stockbroker right now.”

The rumor going around that Rousey is leaving fighting to pursue a spot in Hollywood is just crazy. Once a fighter always a fighter. Ronda is still very young and honestly just getting started in the Bantamweight division. Yes there is not as many top notch women fighters compared to the men’s division, but this is growing and growing. If any company can grow a division, it would be the UFC. To really think Ronda would leave fighting for movies on a permanent bases is just unrealistic.

She takes on Sara Mcmann next Saturday night at UFC 170.

-Derrick Lewis will face Jack May in a heavyweight bout at UFC on FOX 11. Dana White announced the fight, which is likely to air during the Fight Pass preliminary card, on Monday.

UFC on FOX 11 goes down on April 19th in Orlando, Florida. The main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
