Ricardo Lamas on Jose Aldo: "He's A Man Just Like Anyone Else"

-Top UFC featherweight contender Ricardo Lamas spoke with reporters backstage at UFC on Fox 10 in Chicago, Illinois. Check out the highlights:

Lamas on the challenge of fighting Aldo: “It’s realizing he’s a man just like anyone else. He put puts pants on one leg at a time , I think. Unless he has some mutant powers that I’m not aware of, whenever you step in there with another man, it’s an even match. Anyone can beat anyone on any given day.”

Lamas on why he might’ve been overlooked for a title fight before: “I think because I wasn’t that well known of a fighter. I didn’t talk a lot in the media. I’m not a loudmouth or anything like that. So I think that hindered my chances of getting a title fight .”

Lamas is set to face Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 169 in Newark, New Jersey.

Chico Camus spoke about the following after his preliminary card win over Yaotzin Meza at UFC on FOX 10.

His training camp status: “I actually did my camp at a few different places. I’m not really at Roufusport no more. We kind of had a falling out. I don’t know where that’s going to go.”

Whether he’ll return to that gym: “I think there’s always a chance. I don’t hate anybody or hold grudges toward anybody. It’s just a misunderstanding. He felt a certain way, and I felt a certain way. I wish them nothing but the best. I mean, I came out on this card and won, so I think that says a lot about me. … But those guys were like my brothers in there, so obviously I want to get back there.”
