Michael Bisping vs. Tim Kennedy Finally Set

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

After a long, drawn out Twitter war a fight between Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy has finally been set. The two are scheduled to meet at the TUF: Nations Finale in April.

Michael Bisping has been out of commission since his victory against Alan Belcher at UFC 159 last April. He underwent surgery to fix a detached retina and was forced to pull out of a scheduled fight against Mark Munoz at UFC Fight Night 30.

Time Kennedy is 2-0 since coming to the UFC from Strikeforce. He is coming off a win against Rafael Natal at Fight For The Troops 3.

The two fighters have been going back and forth on social media lately. The barbs range from the ridiculous to the sublime with Kennedy dropping this beauty a few weeks ago:

Michael Bisping seems to relish playing the heel in his fights and Kennedy, a former U.S. soldier, could easily step into the role of Captain America for this fight.

The contracts have not officially been agreed to as of this writing but given that both fighters seem to really want this fight to happen it should be official very soon.

The TUF: Nations Finale is scheduled to take place on April 16 in Canada. Let’s hope this main event actually takes place.
