Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold got a W in the win column tonight  with a leg kick to the body of his opponent Costas Philippou.

He finished the fight in the first round via TKO.

He said the following post-fight:

“I love that liver kick. It’s always there. You gotta set it up, go high, go low,”

“I’m not here to be good; I’m here to be great. I want my rematch with Vitor. I would like it here in the States,”

“I’ll go through anybody I have to to get that, especially Michael Bisping, actually; that would be nice.”

Vitor Belfort is scheduled to take on Chris Weidman in the coming months and I don’t think after this fight he is number one contender just yet.

Yes there, let’s get a couple more wins before you call out the number 3 middleweight in the world behind Anderson Silva.
