David Rickels vs. J.J. Ambrose added to Bellator 103 prelims

David “The Caveman” Rickels (14-2) was undefeated at lightweight as he took on current Bellator lightweight champion, Michael Chandler at Bellator 97: Chandler vs. Rickels in late July. It was only forty seconds into round 1 when Rickels was finished by KO, marking the second lost of his career. Rickels worked up to his title shot rather quickly as he won all three of his Bellator season 8 lightweight tourney fights. “The Caveman”  earned his title shot by knocking out Saad Awad in the final seconds of their tournament final match. Rickels has proven he is a talented fighter and that he always comes back much more improved after a lost.

The Kansas native is looking to get back in the cage as soon as possible to re-enter the win column. Rickels will meet fellow lightweight J.J. Ambrose (19-4). Ambrose is just (1-1) under the Bellator banner, but is a pretty experienced fighters. Although Ambrose is not as experienced in the Bellator cage as Rickels, he has fought notables like Brent Weedman and Mike Pyle. These two lightweight will meet at Bellator 103 on October 11th. It will be held at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas.

Other Bellator 103 preliminary bouts include:

Cody Carrillo vs. Ricky Musgrave

Jeimeson Saudino vs. Jesse Thornton

Donnie Bell vs. Marcio Navarro

Maurice Jackson vs. Matt Uhde

Remy Bussieres vs. Blake Pool
