Matt Brown vs. Tarec Saffiedine set for sometime in December

A few times Matt “The Immortal” Brown (18-11) has almost lost his job in the UFC, but has recently racked up an impressive six fight win streak. Five of those fights have been finished by TKO/KO. Brown met Mike Pyle in his most recent bout at UFC Fight Night 26: Sonnen vs. Rua in Boston, Massachusetts. Pyle got caught early in the fight and Brown ended up finishing Pyle at just 0:29 seconds into round 1. Afterwards Brown said that Pyle was better than the current UFC welterweight champion, George St-Pierre and later in the week, Brown said he could out wrestle the UFC champion. Brown will not fight the George St-Pierre next, but he will fight the former Strikeforce welterweight champion.

Tarec “Sponge” Saffiedine (14-3) has had a very impressive win streak of his own by winning his last four bouts inside the Strikeforce cage. “Sponge” worked his way up to a title shot and met Nate Marquardt at the final Strikeforce event. Saffiedine took home the Strikeforce welterweight title, landing leg kick after leg kick, dominating the entire bout. Saffiedine has yet to step into the octagon, but now he is set to make his UFC debut sometime in December.
