It was pretty shocking new when Felice “Lil Bulldog” Herrig (9-4) signed with Invicta considering she was having a good career inside the Bellator cage. It was all cleared up yesterday, when Bellator MMA president stated that he had released all three women fighters left on the Bellator roster. He said that the women would have much better opportunities fighting somewhere else, but he wishes the the best in their future careers. Along with Herrig, Jessica “Evil” Eye (10-1) and Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (15-4) will also released. All three of these women are ranked very high in their weight classes.
Invicta FC already snatched one of them up and one cannot help but think that all Eye and Aguilar will sign with Invicta too. Eye really put her self on the map when she defeated Zoila Gurgel via arm-triangle choke. Eye last fought in June outside of Bellator, defeating Carina Damn by unanimous decision. Aguilar is currently on a 6 fight win streak, four of them came in the Bellator cage. Aguilar last fought Patricia Vidonic back in late march, just barely winning by split decision. All these women have built names for themselves, both in Bellator and women’s MMA, now they will have a chance to continue their legacy somewhere new.
