Paul Daley released from Bellator MMA

It seems like it was not long ago when Paul “Semtex” Daley (33-12) was signed by Bellator MMA and the hopes of him winning the Bellator welterweight tournament on Spike TV were pretty high. Daley fought for Bellator MMA just one time at Bellator 72: Amoussou vs. Baker against Rudy Bears back in July of 2012. “Semtex” ended up finishing Bears by TKO in the very first round. Since then Daley has fought for a few different organizations. Most recently, Daley scored a TKO win over Lukasz Chlewicki at Cage Warriors 57: Daley vs. Chlewicki this past Saturday. Daley is on a four fight win streak, all of those wins by the way of TKO/KO. Not everything was up for Daley, he was convicted on a charge of assaulting a police officer a while back.

Bellator MMA has analyzed the situation and have made a decision to release high profile welterweight from Bellator. Daley was also kicked out of the UFC and left Strikeforce before he ever entered the Bellator cage. Not much is opened for Daley when it comes to big promotions, but Cage Warriors would probably be the best fit. Also released by Bellator was Maiguel Falcoa who has recently had trouble with the law, when him and a teammate assaulted a woman and man.
