Former Strikeforce welterweight Quinn Mulhern (18-3) lost in his UFC debut when Rick Story defeated him by TKO at UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz. Mulhern did not get the start he wanted in the octagon, but is now making a change in hopes of ending up on the winning end next time around. The former King of the Cage champion, Mulhern will be moving down to lightweight for his next bout. Standing across from Mulhern will be Ryan Couture (6-2). Couture was on a  four fight win streak when he made his debut in the octagon at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in Sweden. Couture was keeping it a close fight, until Ross Pearson earned a second round TKO victory. Both former Strikeforce fighters will be in search of that first octagon win come August 31st at UFC 164.
