Out of all the fighters, whether UFC or not, one of my favorite to talk to is UFC featherweight Marcus “The Bama Beast” Brimage (6-2). “The Bama Beast” unfortunately ended a three fight win streak when he was knocked out by Ireland’s own Conor McGregor at UFC on FUEL TV 9: Mousasi vs. Latifi. Brimage was featured on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 14 where he was on Team Bisping. Brimage lost his first fight to Bryan Carraway who recently has made a move down to 135 lbs. Brimage won on his UFC debut on the “TUF 14″ finale where he defeated Stephen Bass by unanimous decision. Brimage then went on to score decisions over stand-out wrestler Maximo Blanco and jiu-jitsu specialist Jim Hettes. Brimage suffered an Achilles tendon injury following his lost to McGregor. Brimage told Amy Barton of MMA DieHards’ Punch Drunk Radio that he will be making the move down to bantamweight his next fight. Brimage’s next fight will not be for quite some time as his injury will take about nine months to fully heal. Brimage is looking to make his 135 debut in 2014 most likely.
