Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman (17-5) was cut by the UFC after losing back-to-back bouts in the octagon. Brenneman’s last defeat was to Kyle Noke where he was submitted at UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort. After Brenneman was cut,he made his 155 lbs. debut  against Eric Irvin for a local Pennsylvania promotion. After a successful lightweight debut Brenneman signed with Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Brenneman made his debut for CFFC at CFFC 23 : La NSang vs. Baker against Jermey Castro where Brenneman earned an impressive peruvian necktie submission finish. On Saturday Brenneman met Gemiyale Adkins at CFFC 25: Williams vs. Faunce. Brenneman had his toughest test yet at lightweight, but ended up earning a unanimous decision. Brenneman has gone (3-0) at lightweight and has not lost since he received his pink slip from Zuffa. “The Spaniard” has been on an impressive win streak and an invite back to the UFC could be right around the corner.
