Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto meets Ivan Menjivar at UFC 165

Feb 20, 2013; Torrance, CA, USA; Ivan Menjivar during today

Not many fighters are given another chance in the UFC after losing three out of three fights with the promotion. Somehow, Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto (18-6) has been given that chance. “Kid” will meet Salvadoran/Canadian bantamweight Ivan Menjivar (25-10) next. Menjivar is (4-3) inside the octagon and was on a  (4-1) run when he faced off with Urijah Faber at UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche. Team Tristar’s Menjivar went on to be submitted by Faber, handing Menjivar his third lost in the octagon. It is a must win for Yamamoto and if Menjivar was to lose, he himself could also be cut by Zuffa. This bout will most likely be apart of the prelim card of UFC 165 which takes place in Toronto, Canada on Septmeber 21st.
