Vitor Belfort wants the winner of Silva/ Weidman fight.

With the upcoming middleweight standoff between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman set for UFC 162 next month, the winner of that fight might already have their next opponent waiting for them.

According to an article in USA today, Vitor Belfort believes he is next in line for a middleweight title fight. Belfort who is (7-1) in the middleweight class, with his one loss coming to current champion Anderson Silva.

“I go to the gym every day. I work hard. I know I will bring that title back. But it’s not about waiting for the time. It’s about making my time now.”

Following his knockout victories of Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping, Belfort has been very outspoken for another crack at the middleweight belt. Comparing his resume with the rest of the middleweight division, it’s hard to make an argument against Belfort’s claim.

“You cannot go against results, so look at my results. That’s what I mean. Some people earn, and some people don’t. They try to get there without earning it. I believe in every area of my life, I earn — and I earn through the glory of God.”
